At Mercy Goods, we give young people opportunities to learn, work, and build confidence in what they can do. Through paid work and training in our Wood Shop, support for pregnant and parenting teens, and Mercy Launch, our teen entrepreneurship program, we help them prepare for what comes next.
Our programs serve different needs, but each depends on people who are willing to teach and invest time in others. In the Wood Shop, that includes paid experience making products for customers. Across our programs, it means having someone available to offer guidance, encourage a participant, and help them build confidence in their abilities.
Right now, Executive Director Zach Lambert balances hands-on instruction and workshop supervision with leading Mercy Goods. As our programs grow, we need a dedicated staff member who can take a consistent role in that work.

Your year-end gift
What a Workshop Manager would do.

Lead the Wood Shop.
Manage training, furniture production, and workshops so students get consistent, hands-on instruction while customer orders keep moving.

Support every program.
Help lead hands-on activities and provide instruction for our pregnant and parenting teens program and for Mercy Launch.

Make room for more.
Strengthen the support we give current participants, help us serve more people, and free Zach to build partnerships, secure funding, and connect participants with jobs and further education.
Where it can lead
Timothy's story.
Timothy Freeny came to Mercy Goods in 2019 wanting to learn screen printing for a clothing brand he had started. During almost two years here, he printed shirts, built furniture, and developed his interests in design. Today, he is a Concept Designer for Urban Outfitters Home. He calls it his dream job.
Timothy worked hard to get where he is. We want more young people in our community to have that kind of opportunity.
