What mentorship means here
More than advice. A relationship built through real work.
Mercy Goods mentoring goes beyond programs and paychecks. Young people gain someone who listens, encourages growth, and helps connect daily effort to a meaningful future.
It isn’t a lecture or a curriculum. It’s a consistent adult presence — at the bench, over a project, every two weeks — that changes what a young person believes is possible.
How it works
Bring your experience. We’ll help find the right way to use it.
Start with a conversation
Call the Mercy Goods team or send us a message. We’ll talk about current mentoring needs and where you’d fit best.
Share what you know
Woodworking, business, résumé writing, or simply listening well — whatever you’ve learned, there’s a young person who needs it.
Show up consistently
Every employee is paired with a mentor, 1:1, every two weeks. The consistency is what makes everything else stick.

— Mentor name, connection
What it takes
You don’t need all the answers. You just need to show up.
Listen
Some weeks, the win is simply being heard by someone who isn’t in a hurry.
Encourage
Name the growth you see. Encouragement from a mentor lands differently.
Stay consistent
Every two weeks, 1:1. Showing up is the whole job description.
Ready when you are
Start with a conversation.
No forms to figure out and no commitment on the first call — just a chat about who you are, what you know, and where a mentor like you could help most.
In a hurry? Call (512) 825-3347 or DM @mercygoods on Instagram.
